Those of you who read this are the first to know that we have a new show intro. We've recently been using the beginnings of some of our favorite songs for the show intro, but we now have a professionally produced intro for the show. It'll make it's official debut on this Friday's show (Episode 25). But since 25 was already in the can when we got the intro it'll be episode 26 before we talk about it.
Most of you know that we're based in central Florida. We were supposed to get a hurricane here today, but it turned out to just be a tropical storm. Lots of rain and a little bit of wind. Which is all fine and good, except for the brass at work freaked out and have had us running around like chickens with our heads cut off.
I worked until 7 am yesterday morning and had to be back at 2 this afternoon and work until at least 6 tomorrow morning. Sucksville.
Anyways, hope you guys enjoy our new intro.

A near death experience
I think I've mentioned on the show before that I still work on the family farm and ranch here and there on the side. Tonight, about midnight or so, I was filling up a 200 gallon spray tank.
Now this tank is on the back of a tractor and has been sealed up for the last several days. There were no hoses running anywhere except for to two spray booms, in which the openings are tiny, just big enough to emit a fine spray.
So I take the top off and start filling it with water, get it about half full and start to pour in some herbicide from a sealed jug. As I'm pouring I see something out of the corner of my eye and feel something brush my forearm. When I looked down, I saw a that there was a water moccasin in the tank. The fucker had struck at me and missed!
For those of you who don't know, water moccasins are a native snake to Florida that are very aggressive and very poisonous.
The only way I can figure it got into the tank is that it was in the fill up hose and when I started putting water in it got flushed into the tank.
My first instinct was to shoot it with the gun that was on my hip. (What? I always carry. Besides, I was in a dark grove at night by myself listening to Rob Zombie music...)
And it took me a second to realize that doing so would put a hole in the plastic spray tank. So I wound up filling the tank the rest of the way and letting the fucker wash out the top. As soon as he hit the ground BOOM! No more snake.
Now I'm not scared of snakes, but I do know that had I been bitten my chances would have been slim. I was close to half an hour from civilization and even further from the nearest hospital.
Shook me up a bit.
But anyways, I'm sure that story will be retold in an upcoming episode.
I'm waiting for episode 23 to export as I write this.
We did very well at Ancient City Con. It was an awesome event that we're going to try and make every year. We hooked up with the super cool guys at the Console Alliance (www.myspace.com/consolealliance).
We're going to start doing a bit more traveling and try to make it to some of the smaller shows and conventions in Florida. Especially since we now have the digital recorder. So if some of you know of a con or show you haven't heard us mention, drop us a line and we'll do our best to be there.
Have fun, and show our buddies at the Console Alliance some love!
